On April 17, a unique sports competition – the SkyWinD Vertical Run Race – was held at Chinar Plaza, the tallest business center in Baku, with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and PMD, and organized by the Triterra Baku Triathlon Club.
This globally renowned sporting event was held in Baku for the first time.
The purpose of the race was not only to draw public attention to a healthy lifestyle, personal well-being, international sports practices in Azerbaijan, gender equality, and the effective use of leisure time but also to promote new business centers symbolizing Azerbaijan's modern development and highlight the city's remarkable architectural landmarks.
The competition, which featured nearly 30 athletes, took place in a fair and competitive environment. The participants climbed 32 floors and 667 steps, reaching the finish line in the shortest time possible. Commemorative medals and prizes were awarded to the participants and winners by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Farid Gayibov.
It should be noted that PMD remains committed to supporting Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives aimed at achieving the relevant Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations.
